Since it snowed a few days ago wild turkeys have been all over looking for food. They aren’t seen often, usually hiding in the woods by the river, but when it gets really cold they come out to see if there’s any food around. Look at some neat pictures of these colorful birds & hear their voice at: http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Wild_Turkey/id/.
Hi Song of the Wolf, I also enjoy seeing Wild Turkeys. We have the big birds here now and then but not at my home – they are usually on the wilder side of our larger community. I love that drawing you have included today! Have a wonderful Monday & stay warm!
We have some that visit every day now that it’s cold and there is snow on the ground and we really enjoy watching them. They even roosted about 50 feet up in one of the tall pines in our front yard the other night. THey are being re-established in this part of the state now and doing quite well.
