Bully Birds

A week of cold weather (it’s been frosting pretty regularly) has made all the birds frantic for food. Even the smallest birds such as sparrows & chickadees have begun to challenge larger birds like cardinals when space at the feeder is limited. The coming of winter has also brought birds such as blue jays, that typically stay in woods & parks, into yards to feed, hoping for an easy meal.

  2. Hi Song of the Wolf, It is so fun to see the variety of birds that come to our feeders. I believe it when you say that some of the small birds bully. In my yards, it is the White-Breasted Nuthatches that get first dibs on the bird feeder buffet.
    Have a great day today!
